Who it's forFor barbershops

Booking software for barbershops

Twenty-minute chairs don't need a booking system designed around ninety-minute ones. They need one that gets out of the way.

Walk-ins still count

Say on your page that walk-ins are welcome, and ring them up without a booking behind them.

Back-to-back, honestly

Buffers and lead time keep the book realistic instead of theoretically full.

Cash is a payment method

Not an afterthought. Cash, card and everything else land in the same day's takings.

Fast work needs fast rules

Short services back to back go wrong in two places: the slot someone books while you're already in it, and the two minutes between chairs that nobody accounted for. Lead time handles the first — slots too close to now stop being offered. Buffers handle the second.

Walk-ins aren't a failure of the system either. Say on your booking page that you take them, and when one sits down, start a sale with no appointment attached.

  • Lead time, so nobody books the chair you're standing at
  • Buffer between chairs, invisible to the client
  • Walk-ins welcome, stated on the page and handled at the till

Built for a shop with more than one chair

A book each

Every barber has their own hours, their own days off and their own clients, in one shop.

Cut, beard, or both

Add-ons attach to the services they belong with, so a beard trim is offered on the cut.

Deposits only if you want them

Most shops don't. If yours does — for a long service or a repeat no-show — it's there.

One day's takings

Cash, card, and the transfer someone sent you, all recorded against the sale they paid for.

The client who never books but always comes

They exist in every shop. They don't need an account, they don't want a reminder, and they'll be in on Saturday. Booking doesn't require an account at Inchair, so that client stays exactly as easy as they were.

Meanwhile the ones who do book get reminded, can move their own appointment inside whatever window you set, and pay however they like.

  • No account needed to book
  • Reminders for those who want them
  • Self-service moves, or call the shop

Questions

Do my clients have to make an account to book?
No. Booking works as a guest. An account exists for people who want to manage their own appointments, save a card, or message you.
Can I take walk-ins and bookings at the same time?
Yes. A walk-in is rung up as a sale with no appointment behind it, and your booking page can state that walk-ins are welcome.
Can each barber have their own hours?
Yes. Shop opening hours, each barber's weekly availability and their one-off time off are all separate, and a bookable slot has to satisfy all three.
Does it handle cash?
Yes, as a first-class payment method rather than a note in the margin. So do cards run on a separate terminal and transfers a client sent from their own app.
