Switching over

Move without losing the last five years

The reason people stay on software they hate is the client list. So that's the part we move for you.

Three imports

Clients, services and appointments each come across from a CSV export.

Nothing switches off

Your current booking link keeps working while you test the new one.

A person, not a wizard

Ask at signup and someone handles the move rather than handing you a manual.

How the move actually goes

  1. 01

    Export from where you are

Almost every booking app will hand over a CSV of clients and appointments. That file is all it takes to start.

  2. 02

    Import, and look at it

Clients, services and appointments import separately, so the client list can come across first and be checked before anything else moves.

  3. 03

    Run both for a fortnight

Bookings keep arriving where they arrive now while your Inchair page goes live alongside. Nothing of yours is switched off by us.

  4. 04

    Change the link

The link in your bio changes, and that's the switch. Your old app is a backup from then on, not a dependency.

What comes across

Clients with their contact details. Appointment history, so a regular's record doesn't start from empty. Your service menu with prices and durations, which is usually the tedious part of any move.

What doesn't come across is anything your old app keeps in a shape only it can read — saved cards held by another processor, for one, which no system can hand to another. Those get re-saved the first time a client checks out.

Questions

Which booking apps can you import from?
Any that exports a CSV, which is effectively all of them. There's no per-app connector — the export goes over and gets mapped for you.
Do I have to do the import myself?
No. There's a question at signup asking whether your data should come over and what you use today. Say yes and a person handles it as part of getting you set up.
Will my clients have to make new accounts?
Only if they want one. Booking doesn't require an account; a client account exists for people who want to manage their own appointments, save a card or message you.
Can I get my data back out later?
Yes, in the same shape it came in. Clients, appointments and services all export as CSV whenever you want, at no charge.
How long does it take?
The import itself is quick. The realistic answer for the whole move is an afternoon to get set up and a couple of weeks running alongside before the link changes.
